PROTECT was established in 2002 as America's first and only lobby for the protection of children. We are bipartisan and focused like a laser on one single issue: protecting children. Neither PROTECT nor our charitable sister organization, the National Association to Protect Children, accepts government funding. This enables us to fight vigorously for children, with complete independence. We are proud of our decade-long record working with, and often against, both major parties for the pro-child, anti-crime values shared by most Americans.

PROTECT is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization. Contributions are not tax deductible (you can give a tax-deductible gift to our other arm, National Association to Protect Children).
